On January 11th David Bowie's son Duncan Jones released a short statement, that the great british musician died after an 18 months long battle with cancer.
Jones was also asking for privacy at this difficult time. "David Bowie died peacefully today surrounded by his family after a courageous 18-month battle with cancer," the statement said. "While many of you will share in this loss, we ask that you respect the family's privacy during their time of grief." The news comes right after release of David Bowie's new album Blackstar.
