Birch is a new band from Brooklyn headed by Michelle Birsky and "Halfway" is the outfit's fantastic debut EP.

Michelle Birsky hails from Vermont and is joined by bassist Matt Towles and guitarist Emma Munger. She states: "I see the Halfway EP as a symbol of the gradual formation of Birch. When I came to Ariel Loh (our producer) with this idea back in November 2014, I had different songs, bandmates, and ideas. As the band grew and evolved, new songs were written and old ones discarded. Because we took our time recording (the full process began in January and ended in July) we were able to create a clear voice and find the right musicians to make it all come to light."
